This Fall, we at ProFromGo decided to find two awesome interns in the Pittsburgh area that showed a strong interest in Internet Marketing. We viewed it as a great opportunity to help give local students real world experience in developing SEO & social media strategies by giving them hands on experience. With a little help from Student Affairs and the CBA’s Career Services at the wonderful University of Pittsburgh, we were able to find two people who were a great fit for our company; Ben Burkhardt and Marina Mulaire. So far both Ben and Marina have done a great job at rising to the challenges we’ve presented them. Even in their first week, both Ben and Marina impressed us through their abilities to provide fresh perspectives for our clients' content strategies in blogs and social media accounts.
Today, we thought it was only fair that they should get a little recognition for the work they've been putting in this past month.
Hi! My name is Ben Burkhardt and I am one of the latest interns at ProFromGo Internet Marketing. I've only been at ProFromGo for a few weeks but I have already been educated on numerous applications related to SEO (search engine optimization) and online marketing. My colleagues at ProFromGo are incredibly knowledgeable and are always eager to teach and assist me in any way possible. I'm optimistic and excited about my future at this company and what I'll learn during my time here.
When I'm not interning at ProFromGo, I'm a full-time student at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm majoring in Marketing and I'm in the midst of my Sophomore year. During my weekends and leisure time, I coach my brother's recreational baseball and basketball team. Additionally, I'm a very avid runner. In fact, I'm currently training to run in the 2014 Pittsburgh half marathon! Above all, I'm a very active, busy student that cherishes family time along with my education.
My name is Marina Mulaire. I'm a twenty year-old junior pursuing a degree in Media & Professional Communications with a minor in Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm a brother of Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional co-ed business fraternity at Pitt. Through the fraternity, I've made lasting friendships, participated in various fundraising and community service activities and attended numerous professional events. I grew up in Reston, Virginia, a suburb outside of the D.C. area. Back home I have two amazing parents, a nine year-old sister and a dog named Riley.
In my free time I like to hangout with friends, watch movies, shop, bake, and go to concerts. I have a strong passion for fashion and a wide variety of music. When I can't shop I'm usually browsing on Pinterest and I want to see all of my favorite artists perform live before I die. I also love traveling and going to the beach. This past summer I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Cyprus and Greece for a six week, nine credit, program. The trip was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had and I hope I get the chance to travel more in the future. Recently, I began interning at ProFromGo. It has been a very positive experience so far and I'm excited to keep learning and growing during my time here.
A tip of the hat goes to these two from everybody at ProFromGo. We expect great things from Ben & Marina for the rest of the Fall semester.
