I’ve been on a lot of sales teams, I work with a lot of sales teams, and I head up our sales team over here at Vendilli. I’d argue that it’s safe to say I’ve been around the challenges reps and managers face when it comes to pipeline health, completed CRM, etc.
For most leaders and reps that I talk to, the main headache that causes other headaches is the completeness of key fields in their CRM. These might be on a contact, a company, a deal, a lead, who knows!
But there are a dozen or more fields that are mission critical across the org and maybe another dozen that a rep will fill out across the span of working a contact and opportunity. When these fields are empty it creates frustration between departments and can lead to some uncomfortable conversations. So how do we solve this? Enter AskElephant.

What is AskElephant?
I like to describe AskElephant as an agentic AI platform for revenue teams, but I’m also a nerd so let's put that into a normal person’s description. AskElephant is an AI tool that takes your unstructured data (think your call recordings, free text fields, etc.) and turns it into structured data. It records meetings for you, but can also perform complex automations with any data it has access to like email, your CRM, or the recordings it has. It can then perform actions on your behalf inside of your CRM with your unstructured and structured data.
A Real World Example: Solving Our Sales Methodology Problem
Let’s put that into a real world example with what I’ve built for us over here at Vendilli. First, some context. When we sell, we use different methodologies depending on what our potential clients are interested in. We use a mix of:
-
BANT,
-
MEDDICC,
-
and MEDDPICC.
This is super helpful for us and most of us at this point know instinctively what methodology to use when, but that creates some challenges for making sure all of that information is captured correctly depending on the methodology.
We had the trouble of:
-
not being able to see what methodology was being used when, and
-
what the answers to the main questions under each methodology were.
As both a rep and a manager, this was super frustrating for me as I needed to get context on other reps deals but also fill out information on my own. In order to solve that, I built something in AskElephant that changed the game for us.
I built an automation that takes the unstructured data from a meeting, then finds the open deal associated with that company and person, chooses the correct sales methodology being used, and then populates the different questions and fields for that methodology all without any of us having to enter any data into HubSpot. It’s boosted our rep productivity and also made our CRM data cleaner and more consistently up to date. I don’t have to chase people to update fields and our reps can spend more time doing outreach and working deals. It’s a win-win.
More Use Cases
Now, also imagine your meeting notes getting logged in the CRM in the same structure with key things called out every time automatically.
-
Meetings automatically get marked as completed if they happen.
-
Automatically updating forecasting to be accurate within a 5% margin of error compared to actual close.
-
Preventative deal intervention.
-
Automated rep coaching on score cards that are relevant for how you sell.
All of these are things we’ve built with AskElephant and HubSpot.
What’s crazy is that these use cases just scratch the surface of what’s possible and what I’ve built. I could go on for a few more pages, but you’d probably get bored at some point. So I’ll just leave it at this, AskElephant has been key for us. Our team is in it every day. It has boosted productivity. It's made workflows better across Sales, Marketing, and CS. And It’s made my job better, and easier, as a sales rep and manager.
