We did a thing.
A BIG thing.
At Vendilli, we’ve been making BIG moves. Since you’ve last heard from us, we’ve:
- Joined forces with the WordWrite agency, an established firm with over two decades in business, to add a layer of strategic communication capabilities
- Expanded our services, now including public relations and crisis management
- Welcomed 5 new team members with varying expertise to better serve our clients
And now, we’re taking on an entirely new challenge, providing you with the latest marketing news.
Introducing Please Advise, a short, easy to digest weekly newsletter offering tips, tools and the latest in growth marketing strategy for busy marketers who want to know what they don’t know, without spending hours scanning articles or testing out tools that don’t serve them.
Alright, it’s story time (since storytelling and messaging are additions to our new services, this seems like a perfect time to go behind the scenes and share WHY this was our move).
Our CEO, Chris Vendilli, was a huge fan of the Please Advise newsletter for years. If you’ve seen his inbox, it’s always full, so if he’s opening an email, it’s worth it.
They say you shouldn’t meet your heroes, but luckily Chris didn’t take that advice and reached out to Adam Kunes, the man that was running the show at Please Advise. The two formed a connection, began chatting and Chris found out that Adam was shifting focus to his super popular Dad Day blog and that Please Advise was on the market.
From fan to owner? Yep, anything is possible.
“Taking the reins from Adam is an honor,” said Vendilli. “What he has done with Please Advise over the years is incredible and we will keep the integrity of the work that came before us and expand into new territory by adding our own personal touch. It’s exciting and I honestly can’t wait to see what’s possible and what value we can add for subscribers.”
If you aren’t familiar with the cadence of Please Advise, each newsletter offers a Look, a Do, and a Try element. There’s also a What’s Happening section, sharing about trending topics in the growth marketing space. Vendilli plans to keep the newsletter a quick read and wants to add a video element to the mix, so stay tuned for an announcement on that.
“I had a number of interested buyers, but it was important to me that Please Advise go to a team who would keep the spirit of the brand intact; practical, punchy, and actually useful for marketers,” Kunes shared. “Vendilli really understood the DNA of the newsletter and saw the potential in what we’d built. I’m excited to pass the torch to a team that can take it even further.”
