Everyone is probably familiar with Google Street View technology. Most of us have used it to marvel at our own homes, take a stroll through the streets of our neighborhood, or grin at the bizarre moments that have unintentionally been captured by Street View vehicles.
However, now Google Street View technology is being used for more than just creeping on your neighbor’s property or chuckling at photos of dogs doing their business. For the past few years, ProFromGo has teamed up with Google to bring Street View inside businesses in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Enter the Google Virtual Tour program.
For the past 2 years, we’ve provided Virtual Tours for businesses of all shapes and sizes. Most owners can immediately sense the value. Google Virtual Tours are a great way for customers to become familiar with a business before stepping through their doors. To showcase some of our previous work, we wanted to demonstrate 7 of our favorite tours.
Mike Kelly Chevrolet Cadillac - Butler
Located in Butler, PA, Mike Kelly Chevrolet Cadillac offers top of the line vehicles to residents of Wexford, Cranberry & Monroeville. After learning about Google Virtual Tours, they decided that having one would be the perfect to allow customers to browse through their inventory of Chevys & Cadillac vehicles from the comfort of their own home.
Vangura Countertops - North Huntington
Vangura Surfacing Products takes pride in their showroom that displays their luxurious granite countertops. VP of Sales & Marketing, Robert Vertes saw a marketing opportunity in Google Virtual Tours. “It's an introduction to what they can see here.” he explained. “Before, they didn't understand why they should drive here from Bethel Park or Upper St. Clair,” Vertes said. “It's opened a door for us, especially with the high-resolution images.”
The Rivers Club - Downtown Pittsburgh
Many of Pittsburgh’s business elite & brides-to-be are intimately familiar with Downtown’s Rivers Club. The multi-floor manages to squeeze a full sized dining room, fitness center and and swimming pool into the Downtown area. “It’s an easy way to get someone to see the club without being here, particularly for brides. It’s just huge for them to see themselves in the picture,” says Rivers Club manager Jack Kimbell.
Molyneaux Tile & Carpet - Ross Township
Much like Vangura, Molyneaux Tile & Carpet heavily relies on their pristine showroom to showcase their wide assortment of carpeting products. Owner Pat Molyneux understands staying ahead means staying ahead of the competition. “...we try to always stay ahead of the curve in marketing, and we believe that this Google Business View is ahead of the curve.” he notes.
Sonoma Grille - Downtown Pittsburgh
Sonoma Grille is described as a “Warm bistro space for an ingredients-driven American tapas menu paired with wines, plus jazz brunch.” They believe that their Virtual Tour is vital to capturing this ambiance and showing it to customers who are deciding where to have a nice Saturday night dinner .
Esspa - Aspinwall
For the ESSPA message therapists in Aspinwall, atmosphere is of the upmost importance to their clients. “When you go to a spa, there's an ambience, an atmosphere. You have smells, you have visuals — an enticing atmosphere that you can't find anywhere else,” explains owner Scott Kerschbaumers. “You really want to get across every aspect that makes you special and unique and give them a reason to choose you. We've had several guests mention the virtual tour is why they chose us.”
Don's Appliances - Canonsburg
Finally, we have Don's Appliances, a Pittsburgh home appliances retailer that has 6 locations throughout the area. Don's decided that not only did they want to shoot their product inventory in their South Hills location, but the locations for 4 of the storefronts they own and operate.
